about
At the beginning of the road, you take your time, soaking up everything the world has to offer. Slowly, taking more risks, you begin to lose control, gradually descending into a state of total chaos. At times you get to celebrate small victories, yet success is most of the time not what you’ve imagined it to be. Eventually, the only thing you wish for is to get back to where you started.
lyrics
Excuse me, I, would like to buy a metaphor
But I've seen the price and it just costs more than I can afford
A simple rhyme, a simple sonnet, and a chord
It's twice as hard but there's no reward if I can't be heard
Take the stride, inflame the crowd though their number small
I like the sound, but I can't recall if I've seen it all
Well, I don't know why (do) you think I care
The light in my life had faded away
It used to be fun but it's bringing me down and in time
You gonna change up your mind and then
Nobody knows where it'll take us again
Half of my life I was clearly dead
You gave it a try but found nothing instead
You could have just run, or maybe just fighting it back so I won't have to wake and see
That all of this time I did it to me
A cynic mind, a different lie, though it sounds the same
I'm fairly calm, though I cannot claim, that I am to blame
The stakes were high, I bet my money where I should
I rolled the dice, and the odds were good, I froze where I stood
I guess it's the time when you try your best
It's never been done so I bet it won't last
It's a walk in the park when you’re keeping it down
But in time you gonna change up your mind and then
God only knows who you'll find here next
For once in my life I've been given a chance
I waited for years so it makes no sense
I wasted it slowly and calmly and boldly and finally, found myself lonely so
That is the time when you try your best
I'd better hide, grab my favourite bottle and
Take my time and upon demand
I'll serve you Instead
